About
At Località Sportinia 4 in Sauze d'Oulx, CHALET CAPANNINA is a mountain refuge with a restaurant, bar and a large outdoor terrace. Run by the Pirazzoli family since 1960, it has around 100 seats across two indoor dining rooms, in addition to its outdoor space. At lunchtime, the self-service offers a changing daily dish alongside a selection of regular favourites. The menu includes lasagne, vegetarian dishes, polenta, game, sausages, chips, sandwiches and pizza made on the spot, with hot soup for colder days. Visitors often highlight the pizza and the friendly staff, making these recurring themes in accounts of lunch on the mountain. For those looking to stay as well as dine, the refuge also has rooms and apartments accommodating up to 20 people in total.
